Vehicle wrapping can be a really profitable service to add to your business portfolio, but it is sometimes a daunting prospect when you're just starting out!
I've put together a list of useful vehicle wrapping tips that will help in acheiving the best possible results when wrapping your next vehicle.
Top Vehicle Wrap Tips... How can I find out more?
Location
Make sure that the vehicle is inside in a clean and warm environment.
Vehicle furniture
Remove as many items of furniture from the vehicle as possible to aid application (i.e. lights, mirrors, etc.)
Clean the vehicle
Giving your vehicle a deep clean will ensure that any grease or dust that may interfere with the wrapping process will be removed. A product such as Avery Surface Cleaner is specially designed for this purpose.
Fitting the livery
Before 'sticking anything down', set up the graphics on the vehicle to make sure that all the livery fits.
Work back to front
Commence application from the rear of the vehicle, working your way to the front.
As they say, practice makes perfect and there is no better way to get experience than on a vehicle wrap course. This gives you the chance to try your techniques on a vehicle that doesn't belong to one of your customers and also to get professional advice as you go along.
Victory Design organise a number of these sorts of days throughout the year which have proven to be very useful for the hundreds of people who have attended so far.
The next available dates are
7th April and 9th June.

Heat the media
Heating the media to work in the recesses helps the process along - this is tutored fully on the training course.
Break the memory
Reheating the recesses between 80°C and 90°C breaks the memory of the film, making it even more pliable.
Remove all handmarks
Wipe all handmarks off the vinyl on the vehicle after application - this can be done either with a dry cloth or Avery Surface Cleaner can also be used to do this if the print is laminated.
Get the job signed off
It is always advisable to have your customer look carefully around the vehicle straight after the wrap and to make sure the work is approved and signed off by them.
For your records, taking photographs of your work is also a good idea.
